EtA is short for ‘Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition’ – or, in other words, entrepreneurship through buying a business. It’s a strategy wherein folks buy an existing company and build it, rather than starting a new one from scratch.

Buying a business means skipping the effort, pain and risk of creating a business from scratch. The strategy lends itself to folks that are better suited to taking a company from 1 to 10, instead of 0 to 1.
